Cartes.io used during Minneapolis protests

Cartes.io, a project founded, built, and managed by M Media, has been used during the Minneapolis protests by people on the ground reporting dangerous incidents in real-time.

Over 2 days, 135 events have been reported, including incidents of fires, looting, mob gatherings, and teargas deployments. In addition, another 30 private maps were created for either personal use or private use within teams.

A Reddit post about the Cartes.io maps has been pinned for 23 hours on the Minnesota subreddit and garnered over 350 upvotes with another 80+ comments.

You can see all the markers created on the map by going to the Twin Cities riots map on Cartes.io, tapping on “Map display options”, and checking “Show all markers”.
